Who we are

Rural communities are what we are and what we know. With a strong belief that any place is what you make of it, we love to come along the volunteers and visionaries working to put good things in place. With years of nonprofit, education, and government experience in a small rural community, I know that the resources are out there, if we just know how to find them and how to go after them.

On the other side of the coin, travel is a passion and getting to know a community from the outside in is also a service we bring to the table. We know that we sometimes forget to be creative with our every day and you can always call us in as a third party moderator, reviewer, or just an extra set of eyes or ears.

Stephanie Giacomo, the owner and principal consultant at Grantstone Consulting, LLC, has decades of experience in the public realm working in small organizations where creativity and resourcefulness are the tool you develop to get through the day. Often working as a department of one or the only employee, Stephanie learned how to understand a place inside out and upside down. Throughout her career, she has stewarded nearly $17 million dollars in federal, state, and private grants. Her work and volunteerism spans education, healthcare, government, and grassroots nonprofits, where she has helped with special projects, strategic partnerships, and community initiatives. With a strong background in grant writing, research, and nonprofit management, she is committed to connecting people and projects with the resources they need to thrive.
